    This is an exciting opportunity for motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic individuals to join the Neuro Emergency and Trauma research team at ICHT.

    We can offer you a fantastic opportunity to gain research delivery experience in a number of different specialties in one of the most dynamic and innovative Academic Health Science Centers in the UK.


    We are looking to recruit two Band 6 Clinical Research Nurses to join us working within the fields of Accident & Emergency, Neurosurgery and Trauma, primarily based at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington.

    The role requires cross-site working, mostly at Charing Cross Hospital in Hammersmith.

    The role will involve providing support for studies within the NET portfolio, including patient-facing study delivery, support and management, from the set-up phase through to dissemination of research findings.

    Within the role, research nurses are expected to recruit, educate and monitor research participants, completing clinical assessments and accurate collection and documentation of research data.

    NMC registration is essential for this post.

    Prior knowledge and experience of research delivery within a healthcare setting in addition to clinical experience or knowledge within the specialist clinical areas would be advantageous for the post.


    Continued training and education are essential within this role and we have a strong commitment to the growth and development of the individuals within the team.

    This will include taking consent and samples from patients diagnosed with ID/Covid and working in Covid positive areas.

    This will involve the recruitment, education and monitoring of research participants and the collection and documentation of accurate data.


    You will act as a knowledgeable resource for staff, researchers, research participants and patients, alongside a working knowledge and compliance with local, national and international research regulations.

    You will contribute to the development of local policies related to all aspects of the research process and contribute to the training and supervision of staff and researchers

    Relevant experience at band 5 within a relevant speciality
    Ability to practice within the scope of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.

    Emergency/ICU/Neuro Nursing experience.
    Experience of coordinating and managing clinical trials for investigational medicinal products

    Degree / Diploma in Nursing
