- Be involved with construction projects and building fit out projects
- Assist with Project Management of building projects
- Enquire and source technical details /information
- Advise upon, developing and writing technical documents
- Make presentations to stakeholders in order to develop a continued design specification
- Provide early design input, write specification documents , check technical information and provide technical support
- Be responsible for writing specification documents for major projects, refurbishments etc, as required
- Liaise with, and provide technical advice to other members of the Property Department as required
- Take full responsibility for project coordination as necessary - you will provide invaluable technical support during the design phase, including highlighting issues, and making recommendations
- Write up and develop specifications, and provide management support on multiple projects
- Work with internal departments, key stakeholders, external consultants, and suppliers, communicating effectively, promptly and accurately to accomplish time-sensitive tasks.
- Assist / Support Property Managers (and department) with technical help and assistance, and stand in for Regional Property Managers during periods of absence as necessary
- Ability to use AutoCad is required
- Self motivated individual, good at multitasking and problem solving
- Well organised, with a positive 'can do' approach.
- Have Knowledge of construction relating to new build of warehouses and offices preferred.
- Commercially astute and not afraid to make decisions
- Knowledge of M&E installations would be advantageous

Job DescriptionWe are currently looking to recruit a Technical Manager to join our Property department based at Smethwick. In this role you will be involved in various projects throughout the whole Property portfolio across all areas of the UK and working alongside the Regional Property Managers.

In order to be successful in this role you will be able to evidence technical knowledge and experience within the Property arena, including writing of technical specifications and documents (including fit out tenders and specifications). It is also essential for you to have a building related qualification and/ or considerable building knowledge preferably in an industrial warehouse environment. It would be advantageous to have a Health & Safety qualification - IOSH/NEBOSH.
We would also expect you to be;

A full UK driving licence is required as travel and working away from home will occasionally be needed.
