A Food Manufacturing company in Birmingham are looking for a Technical Manager to join their team located within the heart of Birmingham.

As Technical Manager you will ensure that all the manufactured products comply with all safety, quality, and legal requirementsby adhering to QMS, Audits and HACCP procedures.

You will have extensive experience leading a technical or quality department with strong knowledge of BRC, HACCP and food safety standards.

As a Technical Manager your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.

Continuously develop and maintain the organisations QMS and HACCP procedures.
Ensure all activities are carried out within company and legislative health and safety and environmental guidelines reporting any issues.
Set objectives and team/ individual KPI's based on the consumerfocused business plan by reviewing the continuously reviewing the SLA's set.
Verify all paperwork completed onsite to ensure compliance.
Ensure site is complying to food standards through internal auditing and be the main contact and liaise with third party auditors.

An exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager with the following.

Experienced working within a fastpaced manufacturing environment within a Technical Manager or Quality Manager role.
Food or FMCG Manufacturing background with experience of internal auditing.
Strong understanding of HACCP, BRC and food safety standards.
Ideally level 2 or 3 Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) qualification / certification.
Advanced Food Hygiene course.
Excellent communication skills.
