    North American Property team

    The Global Property Underwriter will act as a representative within established guidelines to enhance the global position of AXIS on the North American property team.

    The candidate will be responsible for helping to manage the current book whilst developing new business opportunities, making recommendations based on their underwriting knowledge and expertise.

    Works closely with distribution partners to ensure AXIS is shown acceptable risks.

    Meets established underwriting team servicing objectives related to quote turnaround, policy issuance, account and renewal management, file maintenance and documentation.

    Analyses and underwrites individual risks. An understanding of CAT Modelling outputs and using these results to help guide but not dictate underwriting decisions (AIR preferred)
    Participates in special projects and department initiatives at the request of manager.
    Business travel may be required from time to time to meet these responsibilities.
    Assist in training and management of more junior team members.
    Confidence to meet individually with clients and be able to articulate the Global Property Team's appetite for risk.
    REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING &


    EXPERIENCE:
    A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in property underwriting/broking
    Strong analytical skills and proven ability to align business analysis with departmental strategy
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
