    Description

    This hybrid role would require you to attend our head office in Bar Hill, Cambridge approximately 1 day a week.

    About the role As Software Test Engineer at Domino, you will participate in the design and development of software solutions, to help us deliver reliable cloud-based solutions that helps our customers manufacture sustainably, reduce waste, and improve their effectiveness. You will be involved throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery, where we look to achieve our company strategic goals by having a progressive and adaptable mindset that recognises both, business, and agile values and principles whilst being a role model for them. Responsibilities:
    • Delivering value to customers by testing and ensuring the quality of our software solutions.
    • Writing maintainable, robust, and scalable tests that cover functional and non-functional requirements utilising industry best practice.
    • Contribute to the design and delivery of a test pipeline that enables effective testing of our cloud frameworks, infrastructures, and technologies.
    • Create, maintain, and enhance component level and integration level test systems including software configurations.
    • Actively participate in requirements analysis, solution design from a testing and quality viewpoint.
    • Refining, estimating, and planning the product backlog.
    • Contribute to the full software test cycle, by creating and maintaining test plans, and designs ready for you and the team to execute.
    • Work alongside the team to ensure code has sufficient test coverage and is tested at the appropriate levels whilst following the test strategy.
    • Assist cross-functional teams in troubleshooting and problem identification.
    • Execution of some necessary and appropriate manual testing.
    • Actively collaborate with individuals within the team to achieve our business objectives.
    • Contributing to improvement activities. (e.g. developing tools, ways of working, engineering practices)
    • Make sure we have just enough documentation and that it's clear and up to date.
    About you
    • Proficiency and experience in Python, Groovy.
    • Experience in API testing and its technologies.
    • Awareness of utilising virtual environments.
    • Knowledge of a Cloud environment.
    • History of delivering or supporting software products throughout moments in the product & software life cycle.
    • Knowledge of at least one engineering practice. (e.g. TDD, BDD, CI/CD)
    • Demonstrate competence in version control (Git).
    • Able to communicate complex idea/ solutions/ problems to other members of the team.
    • Appreciation of agile ways of working, the values, and it's principles.
