Description

Adept are pleased to be working with a large reputable Oil & Gas manufacturer in Sheffield.

They are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team to ensure that Plant & Equipment is maintained in accordance with Company and Statutory requirements.

Salary - £34,000 to £38,000Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday - 6am to 2.30pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

Interpret equipment and plant layout drawings; mechanical and electrical.
Produce documentary evidence and carry out scheduled maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with schedule and legislative requirements, ensuring that maintenance data records are accurately and promptly updated.
Respond to machine and plant equipment breakdowns, carry out necessary repairs, and report the cause of breakdown.
Provide evidence of plant and equipment breakdown occurrences coupled with documented improvement recommendations.
Maintain a systematic and methodical approach to work organization to ensure that our housekeeping standard is maintained in accordance with Company requirements, providing visible evidence of compliance.

Requirements:

Ability to communicate effectively and work with minimum supervision.
Multi-skilled.
Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in MS Office and other applications.
A good understanding and a proactive approach to Health, Safety & Environmental issues is essential.

Qualifications:

Electrical knowledge and a Mechanical bias.
Traditional apprenticeship coupled with appropriate technical qualifications; City & Guilds / ONC / HNC in Electrical/ Mechanical Maintenance preferred.
Machine tools and CNC controls experience.
A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
