Estimator - refurbishment and fit out sector.
Salary k Depending on experience
Location - Wythenshawe
Hours hr break) 4pm finish Fridays (Office Based)
Connections are currently recruiting for a Technology Estimator.

Founded 40 years ago our client has developed into a highly reputable and reliable nationwide provider of laboratory furniture and fit-out services to the education, industrial and life sciences sectors.

You will work within an experienced and established team on a daily basis.
Skills/experience required
Minimum 3 years Estimating or Quantity Surveying experience within construction sector essential - preferably in commercial fit-out sector, project sizes ranging from £50k to £2m
Knowledge of building, material components, building regulations and H&S
Ability to take off quantities from technical and layout drawings
High competence in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
Good time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
Knowledge of contractual procedures and responsibilities
Experience of fitted furniture desirable
Good attention to detail and high level of numeracy

Responsibilities:

Manage incoming enquiries and maintain register
Identify and understand the requirements and proposed scope of works for incoming enquiries
Liaise with endusers, architects & main contractors as required to collate all required data/information to enable accurate estimate
Research the costs of materials, equipment and labour
Liaise with existing subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations
Identify and source new subcontractors/suppliers as required
Assess and analyse supply chain quotations
Prepare and submit accurate outgoing quotations
Help with bids for new contracts and support buying activities

£38,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
