About The Role:

Following continued success and growth, we are now looking to expand our Conference Centre team through the recruitment of a new Front of House Assistant.

This role will be based at our prestigious training facility in Cosham.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8:00-17:00 with one hour for lunch. Please note, there will be the occasional requirement for out of hours working.


A day in the life
As a Front of House Assistant, you will start your day by greeting our conference centre guests. You will sign in our delegates and tutors, complete ID checks, and direct them to their training rooms.


At break times, you will set up the dining hall, prepare drinks and snack for our delegates and clear away afterwards.

Throughout the day, you will be the face of the company. You will be required to greet any visitors and answer incoming calls, transferring and taking messages as required.


Following the departure of our delegates, you will be required to clear down and set up our training rooms ready for the next day of events.

The role of Front of House Assistant is fast paced and varied. Our successful applicant will need a desire to excel in delivering superb customer service so every visitor to PETA feels welcomed


What will I need to succeed?


To be considered for the role of Front of House Assistant, it is essential that you have experience in customer service - this could be gained in a retail, hospitality, or leisure environment.

The most important thing is that you understand what great customer service is.


You will also:

  • Have a positive, friendly, cando attitude
  • Be organised and proactive
  • Work well under pressure and always be up for a challenge
  • Have exceptional communication skills both face to face & over the phone
  • Be able to prioritise a demanding workload
