    Description

    The post holder, in conjunction with leaders in the service, will be responsible for the operational management of Cameo, early intervention in psychosis service.


    This will include effective leadership, management of human and budgetary resources, ensuring evidence based practice within the community setting, as well as evident ability to co-ordinate varying tasks in care delivery and manage unplanned challenges.


    This post is predominately Monday Friday 9am 5pm, there may be times when flexibility is expected, in line with role and responsibility.

    CAMEO is an award-winning Early Intervention service in Cambridge andPeterborough Foundation Trust (CPFT) offering assessment, treatment and support to people aged years who are experiencing symptoms of psychosis for the first time.

    Our clinical teams deliver many NHS services, not only via inpatient and primary care settings, but also within the community.

    These services include children's, adult and older people's mental health, forensic and specialist mental health, learning disabilities, primary care and liaison psychiatry, substance misuse, social care, research and development.

    To assist the clinical team manager in the monitoring of quality standards in line with current clinical guidance practice and policy.


    Utilising and compiling data available for feedback to team such as learning from incidences and complaints, activity levels, compliance with national quality standards.

    To be responsible for the promotion of carer and service user involvement within the service and for its provision. To encourage recovery, discovery and independence, taking into account risk assessment and management.

    Management Qualification or evidence of managerial experience up to post graduate level in the NHS or equivalent

    Experience of community services and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
    Experience relating to young people with mental health issues

    Effective communication skills both verbally and written, including IT literacy (MS Office)
    Able to offer in-service training

    Understanding of the legislation relating to care including - Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Act, Children's Act, Equality Act 2010, Health and Safety Act and the Data Protection Act

    To continue your professional development and participate in annual appraisal and the performance management process
