    Description

    We are seeking an experienced Principal Health Economist to join our health economics modelling team, a team of over 20 and growing. The principal will report to the Director of Health Economics and will be a strategic lead and technical subject matter expert in disease transmission modelling, this is a key leadership role in the delivery and management of a diverse portfolio of technical projects, identifying challenges and crafting solutions in partnership with our clients. The role of a principal will provide expert technical advice, lead a team of senior health economists, and support the mentorship and development of health economists and associates.

    Requirements

    The successful candidate will be seen as a subject matter expert in economic modelling and will be expected to lead on quantitative projects, strategically advising on conceptualisation of models, implementation and reporting. They will also play a pivotal role in developing and mentoring our HE team.

    Required skills and experience include:

    • Demonstrated expertise in conceptualising, developing, and delivering a range of mathematical and/or health economic models in Excel, VBA and other software packages
    • Experience in R and/or C++ is particularly desirable, but not essential
    • Strong statistical / quantitative analysis skills
    • Relevant working experience in healthcare, biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry
    • Experience in leading multi-functional teams on complex projects, including serving as key contact for clients
    • Excellent organizational skills including strong oral and written English communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Experience in disease transmission modelling
