    Description

    Operating in North Essex we are a family run business with a small team who have been contract farming for over 30 years.

    We farm using all methods of establishment from direct drilled through to ploughed. Drilling using either a 6 meter trailed drill or mounted tine seeder
    Some relief combine driving as well as corn carting
    Woodland management work and ditching throughout the winter months

    Having experience using a chainsaw and the certificates for this and using a 360 digger would also be advantageous.

    This would suit someone who has had some experience working on an arable farm and is now looking to take a lead role where you will have responsibility for the growing crops throughout the year.

    The role does require overtime to be worked throughout the harvesting and cultivation period (July-October) but throughout the rest of the year there is limited requirement to work outside the 40 hours standard week.

    However, there is further opportunities for overtime in the quieter periods of the year if of interest.

    Further training can be provided and we encourage staff to further their knowledge base and get involved with all areas of the business.
