- Manage all accounting operations including purchase ledger, sales ledger, general ledger & inventory.
- Compile the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Prepare, analyse and publish monthly financial statements
- Manage the year-end financial audit process
- Assist with day-to-day management of banking - including but not limited to, cash receipts and payment postings, bank reconciliations, supplier payments
- Customer and supplier account reconciliations
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Cashflow analysis
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Professional certification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA or qualified by experience (QBE with relevant experience)
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Experience of statutory accounts also preferred
