AK Teaching are currently working in partnership with multiple schools across Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland.


One of our partner schools is currently looking for SEMH teaching assistants to work with both primary and secondary aged learners, to support with challenging behaviours.

Applicants must be resilient and have a willingness to support the children and help them reach their potential. For this role you must also be able to display excellent behaviour management as well as resilience.

Due to the nature of this role, prior working with SEMH learners is highly beneficial.

  • Hold a level 2/3 or higher supporting teaching and learning qualification
  • Hold a level 2/3 or higher childcare qualification
  • Posses a fully enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Experience working with pupils who have SEN

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm


Salary:
£80.00-£90.00 per day


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Blyth: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
