A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic registered children's nurse to work within the Nottingham Children's Diabetes Team to cover maternity leave for one year.
The successful candidate will join a team of other specialist nurses caring for children with diabetes.You will be hospital based with a responsibility to see children in inpatient and outpatient settings and to liaise with families at home.
You will be a clinical and professional role model with a passion for the delivery of high quality clinical care and the support and development of others.
You will be an effective team player but also able to plan and organise your own workload, possess excellent communication skills, and an ability to teach families and health professionals.
You will be working as part of a dynamic and forward thinking multi-professional team, offering key opportunities to develop your career as a nurse specialist.

The successful candidate will work as a specialist nurse within an established multi-professional team caring for children and young people with diabetes.
Much of the work is undertaken on an outreach basis by nurse-led telephone clinics providing clinical advice and support to families caring for children with long term conditions at home.
You will also support nurse-led and multi-professional outpatient clinics.Registered Nurse Child
BSc/BA in nursing
Able to effectively coordinate care for children with long term conditions
Experience in Diabetes
Up to date clinical knowledge of general paediatrics
Ability to demonstrate IT skills Microsoft Word and Excel
