    Every Cloud are representing an International forward-thinking, fast-growing business in Chelmsford, Essex.

    This Private Equity backed International Supply Chain business with Operations globally are looking for a SQL DBA to join their team.

    This is a permanent role with hybrid working conditions – 3 days per week onsite with 2 days remote.

    This company, steered by a brilliant IT Leadership team has a real focus on investment in technology and are adopting new Microsoft Azure DevOps principles and exploring how new Power Apps can help the business grow further.

    Key deliverables :


    • Support and maintain a zero/low latency approach to entire group's database, always minded to creating ascalable environment
    • Maintain uptime with high availability infrastructure
    • Provide Mirror environments for Development
    • Work as a team with other IT team engineers, focusing on providing a first rate experience for internal and external users of datasets
    • Willingness to identify and embrace new technologies as the company grows
    • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative procedures and practices
    • Act as the database authority
    • Provide a stable database environment
    • Documenting processes
    • Review existing process and seek automation at every opportunity
    • Secure all data sources working to ISO27001
    • Knowledge share with other team members and mentor junior team members
    • See the bigger picture in regards to entire companies data assets Requirements – experience/qualifications:
    • Demonstrableexperience in roles such as Data Engineer or Database Administrator or equivalents
    • Demonstratable experience of on prem MS SQL technologies deployed in both as both OLTP and OLAP,
    database design principles, optimisation, profiler, ETL, Stored Procedure writing and management, Data
    Modelling, Replication


    • Advantageous is experience of Dynamics NAV / BC databases, PowerBI, Power Apps
    • Awareness of Cloud technologies, Postgres, Data Science principles, Python, Data visualisation techniques
    • Experience of working with large volumes of fast changing datasets andMark-uplanguages
    • Highly numerate and detail driven
    • Strong communication skills
