    Refresco Beverages have expanded its product ranges over the years, with our continuous development being focused on dairy and plant-based drinks production.

    As Process Engineering Manager at Refresco, you will be driving our engineering excellence and development of our white liquid processing.

    Our state-of-the-art facility is based in Bridgwater, just north of Taunton.

    Refresco UK are part of the Refresco Group a multi-national independent soft drinks manufacturer with 78 manufacturing sites across Europe, North America, and Australia in 15 countries.

    In the UK we have 6 sites. We work with all the large UK supermarkets plus many well-known branded drinks producers. Process Engineering Manager - Bridgwater, Somerset

    Shift Pattern:

    Days Monday – Friday 38 hoursCompetitive salary, 12.5% annual bonus, a good company pension, health care plan, enhanced holiday entitlement plus the option to buy additional annual leave About the role of Process Engineering Manager at Refresco:Be the Inspirational Process Engineering Lead ensuring the behaviours you exhibit reflect the Refresco values.

    Develop a work environment that strives on continuous improvement, promotes trust, strengthens teamwork, and does not stray from Safety or Quality.

    Lead the reliability and improvement programs for all plant equipment including, but not limited to, UHT Plant, Pasteurisation, Homogenising, Separating, HS Mixers, Aseptic Valve matrices.

    Support the day-to-day operations of the engineering and maintenance departmentsDeliver a robust PM package enabling the optimum output from the plant whilst maintaining compliance.

    Lead the execution of all technical troubleshooting & repairs.

    Monitor and ensure timely completion of all plant technical repairs and upgradesDrive Engineering improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity.

    Support with the business strategy – skills & training / Organisation / GrowthReduce reliance on OEM support through growing internal competenciesBuild a strategy for future training, recruitment & retention of engineering team membersImprove overall reliability of lines – special focus on APETBehavioural safety deploymentDeliver the Engineering Pillars;Autonomous Maintenance (AM) – Improve Operator Maintenance through basic equipment care to halt deterioration and stabilise equipment.

    Focused Improvement (FI) – Drive Team Focused Uptime and Operational Equipment Effectiveness through strategic improvement on underperforming performing equipment with known & unknown losses.

    Professional Maintenance (PM) – Improve Planned Maintenance with Service Contract Suppliers and internal Engineers to optimize life of the equipment and maintenance costs as volume changes over time.

    Early Equipment Management (EEM) – create smarter & successful new equipment/automation start-ups by improving reliability and flow with early design/layout support for new assets.

    Training and Education (TE) – facilitate employee Maintenance related training utilising Single Point Lessons (SPL) and standard work tools.


    About you:


    To be successful a Process Engineering Manager here at Refresco you will need to have a strong background in liquid processing of consumable products with preferable experience of white liquids.

    Introduced Maintenance Excellence into a processing plant. Be capable of demonstrating a clear understanding of compliance and legislation for consumable liquid products. Demonstrable ability of embedding new practices and ways of working.
    Working knowledge of Tetra and Manzini Processing Plants.
    Strong Engineering reliability and process experience.
    Knowledge of UHT Plant, Pasteurisation, Homogenising, Separating, HS Mixers, Aseptic Valve matrices.
    Ideally you will have studied dairy science or similar.
    You will need to be both strategic and hands-on.
