    Description

    Edward Reed is actively recruiting for an experienced Corporate lawyer to join our acquisitive professional services client, head-quartered in the Northeast.

    The ideal candidate must be adaptable and be able to work in a team environment dealing directly with the wider M&A team, professional adivsors, acquisition targets and panel legal firms.

    The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to operate with a level of commercial acumen and transaction experience in addition to strong technical legal and strategic knowledge.

    Leading the legal process
    Early stage legal structuring and planning on more complex acquisitions
    Leading on legal documentation including NDAs, Heads of Terms together with all buy-out and full acquisition document suites
    Legal DD input and co-ordination
    Project management of the legal process
    Managing outsourced legal services when used
    Working closely with the Head of Financial Due Diligence and Transaction Services to obtain board approval on acquisitions
    Creative adaptation and development of legal deal structures to enable the company to adapt to market movements/opportunities and continue to differentiate, whilst still
    Support in managing commercial risk and return
