Mat Man Assistant - Band - based at Castle Hill Hospital - working hours 6.00am to 10.00am (20 hours per week - Monday to Friday inclusive)

Salary £20,270 pro-rota

Holidays on commencement 27 days pro-rota

A vacancy has arisen in the stores department for a Band 2 Materials Management Assistant.

The post involves replenishing stock for the Theatres, Wards and Departments.

The role will involve the use of a PDA and a Computer on a daily basis.


Applicants should be self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative, as well as being able to prioritize their own workload.


Applicants should have good communication skills as the successful applicant will be expected to liaise with staff at all levels via telephone or face to face.


There will be a requirement to assist in other areas of the department as and when required as well as work across both Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital as needed.

The applicant also needs to be flexible.

Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital with an annual budget of approximately £500 million.

The Trust's secondary care service portfolio is comprehensive, covering the major medical and surgical specialties, routine and specialist diagnostic services and other clinical support services.

HUTH provides specialist and tertiary services to a population of 1.25 million extending from Scarborough in North Yorkshire to Grimsby and Scunthorpe in North East and North Lincolnshire respectively.
