    Our client, aleading international manufacturer, is currently recruiting for anexperienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their site inBirmingham at a time of huge growth for the business.


    As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, youwill be part of a multi-skilled maintenance team that workstogether as a flexible and professional unit.

    You will be requiredto assist with both breakdown and preventative maintenance acrossthe site safely and professionally.


    Dutiesinclude:

    • Adhere to all safety rules and requirements atall times.
    • Carry out routine daily preventativemaintenance checks.
    • Work alongside the Production TeamLeaders, Shift Technicians and Operators, reporting findings toyour Departmental Team Leader.
    • Take responsibility forany specific area as required to understand its operation and fullyunderstand the maintenance requirements and safe systems of workfor that area.
    • Ensure that all tasks are accompanied bythe relevant supporting documentation (work orders, riskassessments etc.).
    • Carry out all nonplanned andplanned maintenance tasks promptly.
    • Be a frontlinepoint of communication for Production Team Leaders, ShiftTechnicians and Operators during maintenanceactivities.
    • Be actively involved in projects ofimprovement, extension or modification of equipment to optimiseefficiency, reliability and safety.

    What weare looking for:

    • HND/HNC Mechanical Engineering(Essential)
    • Recognised Apprenticeship gained in amechanical discipline to ONC engineering or equivalent.
    • Knowledge of Hydraulic/Pneumatic systems
    • Awareness ofLean manufacturing tools
    • Knowledge of continuousimprovement techniques.
    • Mechanical experience gainedwithin a process manufacturing industry or heavymachinery.
    • Attention to detail with the ability toanalyse problems and action solutions.
    • Excellentcommunication skills both written and oral.
    • Ability toselforganise, prioritise work and adhere to deadlines.
    • Experience with high speed processes
