- Create visual awareness of quality metrics and communication to the business.
- Work with the Quality Manager to develop KPIs to underpin objectives.
- Work with the Operations team to improve inspection and verification through the use of control plans, visual SOPs, poke yoke, visual standards, quality alerts, gauges and calibration adherence.
- Implement methodologies for establishing "cost of quality". Scrap, defects, returns, complaints, non-value-added activities. Create and Implement Quality Control Plans with the assistance of all the relevant team members.
- Support NPI projects as required, working closely with other departments to ensure successful introduction into Production.
- Strong experience supporting Quality Management techniques (ISO 9001)
- Strong experience of managing Quality System Requirements.
- Strong experience within a Customer Facing environment, with knowledge of NCR management and utilisation of a wide range of Quality tools.
- Strong understanding of various quality tools and methodologies i.e. PPAP, CAPA methodology, 8D problem solving, 5 Why's, SPC, 6 Sigma (DMAIC), Lean Analysis, Pareto charts and statistical data
- An understanding of NDT, Chemical and Physical processing, as well as CNC Machining and CMM inspection.
- Oil and Gas, Aerospace, Automotive, Nuclear, Project, or Infrastructure.
- Experience utilising Lean Six Sigma techniques and methodology to improve operational performance.
- Data driven approach.
- Experience supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) projects.
- Strong computer and data collection system literacy, analysis and presentation. Proven presentation skills, including use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
