    The Youth Agency works with young people aged 8-25, within Wester Hailes and the surrounding communities ofBroomhouse, Sighthill, Parkhead and Longstone.

    This role has overall responsibility for the Youth Agency's funding strategy which will, in turn, influence ouractivities and long term development.

    You must be able to demonstrate a successful track record of raising funds from public and private sector bodies,along with excellent networking and interpersonal skills.

    We have a vacancy for an Employability Support Worker (Schools) to deliver a yearling employability skills programmeto young people in S4 at schools throughout East Lothian who have been identified as leaving school with nopositive destination in place.

    Support young people to gain employability skills, life skills and accreditation; helping them in to work,apprenticeships, further education and vocational training
    Deliver tailored support packages to youngpeople enabling them to create and realise their career pathways and progress in to post schoolopportunities

    This is an exciting position in which the successful candidate will take pride in developing a programme of deliverywhich will provide young people with clear pathways to positive destinations.

    It is essential that candidates have a full, clean driving licence and constant use of a car. A contributory company pension scheme is offered with a 10%employer contribution.

    As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting children and young people we are seeking to recruit for the abovepost.

    Together with our Deputy Manager, they will be responsible for strategicdevelopment and implementation, operational management, legislative compliance, fundraising, and profileraising.

    25 days holidays per year (pro rata) increasing yearly with length of service up to 5 years

    Community Volunteers Enabling You (COVEY) has operated across Lanarkshire for 32 years supporting 4,500 children,young people and parents/carers to become more resilient, safe and better equipped to reach their fullpotential.

    We are looking for someone who has experience of securing and managing high-value partnerships at six figure levelsfrom statutory funders and grant making trusts/foundations.

    LOs range from local authorities, state and independent schools to youth organisations, secure units and communitygroups.

    The DofE Scotland Operations team works with these licensed organisations to build their capacity,support their reach into more marginalised communities and ensure quality and compliance with the Awardframework.

    The DofE Scotland office covers DofE activity across the length and breadth of Scotland, working with over 150Licensed Organisations and over 20,000 young people in the last year alone.

    The role will be field-based and when not attending meetings, employees will work from home. You will need to have anappropriate home office set up and live within the region.

    You will be a confident and effective communicator and collaborater and have experience of building andsustaining relationships with stakeholders across the education and/or youth and community sectors.

    You will be a passionate advocate for the work of the DofE and motivated by the charity's strategic ambition to givemore than one million young people the chance to participate in our life-changing programmes, over the next fouryears.
