The Role & Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Bank's property lending stakeholders within the Enterprise Franchise to advise on policy, documentation, process improvements and to act as an interface between the franchise's lending teams and the Bank's external conveyancing solicitors.
- Where required, to support the Enterprise Franchise and the wider inhouse legal team on broader commercial law issues/contract negotiation.
- Where required, to advise on changes to standard form customerfacing documentation, terms and conditions, processes and procedures and embed these into the business.
- Advising on strategy and approach to any issues which may become litigious.
- To act as a beacon for best practice relating to legal document creation and retention maintaining an up to date library of all relevant legal contract templates.
- To work closely with the Legal Director, General Counsel and the wider legal team to deliver legal solutions for the Bank (with particular focus on the propertylending businesses within the Enterprise Franchise).
- With the support of external counsel to facilitate the delivery of complex or large

- To develop and maintain good governance structures and mechanisms that reflect best practice and meet the needs of the business within the regulatory environment. To assist with the management and governance of first line conveyancing firms which support the property lending business within the Enterprise Franchise. This will include undertaking audits of these firms and reporting the findings to the lending division.
- Acting as a key stakeholder, supporting the Bank as whole on propertylaw related matters e.g. acquisition of new office premises etc.
