Social Care Officer, Community Alarm/Telecare Team PKC11185

This is an exciting and rewarding role as a Social Care Officer, to contribute to the operation of the Community Alarm and Telecare Service.
You will have the opportunity to be part of a team that provides peace of mind for individuals and their families through a 24-hour response service.
In addition, help vulnerable service users in the community and to stay at home independently, and prevent admission to hospital or full-time care.
A degree of technical knowledge and understanding of IT systems would be desirable as you will be required to install Telecare equipment and input information on to the systems that we use.
You should have experience of working with vulnerable service users in a community setting and carrying out personal care to a high standard.
Training will be provided.A reliable and flexible approach to work together with a positive, responsible and caring attitude are also essential. The shift pattern is 12-hour shifts which is variable and includes weekend, and night work.
You must have or be willing to work towards and obtain SVQ 2 in Social Care.
You must have a valid driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
