Were looking for an Operations Team Leader with a background in Claims Handling to join our team in Halifax.The Operations Team Leader is responsible for inspiring and motivating the team whilst adhering to the businesss core values.
Managing the team on a day-to-day basis, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and ensuring that the team is effective in delivering a quality service to customers as well as demonstrating the best claims handling service to target levels.
Building relationships across the business. All round comprehensive knowledge of insurance and claims handling is essential for this role.Your Key accountabilities will be:
- Mentoring and coaching team members to develop skills and knowledge, encouraging learning and development opportunities to build capability within the team
- Conducting regular team meetings communicating clearly team, department and company updates, review of performance and business critical information
- Conducting regular reviews with each team member to monitor progress of personal development objectives
- Having full visibility of each team members performance through regular audits and available MI reporting
- Ensuring the team is aligned to the Company vision and understands the part they play in achieving the overall objectives
- Undertaking regular performance/relationship calls with clients and internal teams as required
- Achieving and delivering budgeted operational performance measures
Essential:
- Considerable experience of claims handling for both fault and nonfault claims
- Knowledge of liability, case law being a technical expert in this area.
- Proficient in Proclaim or similar claims management system
- Experience in a customerfocused environment
- Strong and assertive communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills, able to create informative reports and analysis
- Good commercial acumen and approach
- Good time management skills
- Awareness of the risks and exposures within the claims handling process
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills and client relationship building
Desirable:
- Ideally some experience of leading a team
- Achieving and delivering budgeted operational performance measures
- Resilient
- Good problem solver

£26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
