Technical Skills and Competencies Required
Plan, schedule, and perform work for the farm maintenance technicians, including yourself. Act as the primary point of contact for VMRD Operations to assure that responses are timely and appropriate. Review work for completeness in CMMS. Become an SME for applicable regulatory requirements to assure work standards are met. Be the lead technician for troubleshooting and repair for farm equipment.
Previous experience or training in any of the following trades: electrical, mechanical, plumbing, utilities are highly valued. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility and equipment.
Any experience with farm activities, especially repairing and maintaining equipment for the welfare of animals is a big plus.
Physical Position Requirement
SAFELY work in an industrial environment using approved procedures, i.e., Lockout/Tagout, confined space, line break, right to know, PPE, etc.,
Have experience in the use of hand and power 's Maintenance after all.
Occasionally lift up to 50 more.
Work in areas that may be hot, cold, stinky, noisy, ultra-clean, or require additional PPE. May be exposed to temperature variations, prolonged standing, or walking.
Valid drivers' license may be required.
