    UK Sustainability Lead - Maternity Cover

    Summary:

    Are you ready to lead the charge in sustainability as the UK Sustainability Lead, making a real difference in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters? We invite you to take on the role of Sustainability Leader, where you will lead data analysis, research, and stakeholder engagement to shape the future of sustainability. Your role will be pivotal in identifying emerging sustainability risks and crafting strategies, reporting standards, and technologies to mitigate them. You will also take the lead in energy procurement, renewable sourcing, and greenhouse gas management.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Data-Driven Insights: Lead data analysis to research and benchmark sustainability trends.
    • Risk Mitigation: Identify and address emerging sustainability business risks.
    • Strategic Leadership: Evaluate and guide enterprise strategies, reporting standards, and technologies.
    • Energy Procurement: Lead energy strategy, renewable sourcing, and greenhouse gas management.
    • Efficient Operations: Oversee bill payment and data management systems.
    • Transparency: Lead external sustainability reporting efforts.
    • Conservation: Manage capital conservation initiatives to promote sustainability.
    • Strategy Development: Guide the development and execution of business sustainability strategies.
    • Partnerships: Foster collaborations, strategic marketing, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Education: Contribute to internal and external educational initiatives.

    Additional Opportunities:

    • Innovation: Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify innovative projects supporting net-zero goals.
    • Reporting Excellence: Take charge of UK-specific reporting for our annual corporate sustainability report.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Map stakeholder engagements and identify opportunities for enhancement.
    • Leadership: Serve as the secretariat for the UK Sustainability Council.
    • Sustainability Projects: Coordinate projects to reduce emissions in line with our net-zero commitments.
    • Performance Metrics: Develop and track performance metrics for sustainability initiatives.
    • Business Cases: Prepare compelling business cases for emission reduction measures.
    • Resource Allocation: Secure the necessary resources and approvals for project implementation.

    Qualifications:

    • Educational Credentials: Hold relevant educational or certification qualifications.
    • Equivalent Experience: Demonstrate equivalent experience in the field.
