Description
To be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the evidence-based care required, including health promotion for a named service user/group ensuring it meets Trust timescales.
To ensure that the requirements of the Mental Health Act 2007 are observed, adhered to, and implemented.To encourage recovery, discovery, and independence, taking into account risk assessment and management.
To establish therapeutic relationships with service users, and the implementation of evidence based therapeutic interventions with appropriate boundaries in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Councils professional code of conduct
To be responsible for the safe custody and administration of medicines in accordance with all medicine policies
To ensure that accurate and timely written records are kept which comply with the Trust policy and NMC guidance, reporting on any issues as appropriate.
1st Level Registration Adult branch. (Active on the NMC register~ Team management.
Working with older people in a variety of settings
Rehabilitation experience
Mental Health and/or Palliative care
Able to demonstrate commitment to high quality care and service provision
Shows a realistic appreciation of the challenges of working with children and young people/vulnerable adults.
Mental Health and/or Palliative care Evidence of in-depth training at level 3 / 4 regarding MCA, 2005 and DOLS
Time Management and prioritisation Skills
Standard keyboard skills and ability to communicate through IT using packages such as Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults
Counselling Skills
Understanding of the local health systems and issues
