    SEMH Teaching Assistant

    Full Time, Monday to Friday, Term Time only.

    We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Secondary Teaching Assistant with hands-on experience within a pupil referral unit, alternative provision, or SEMH School.

    The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in offering crucial holistic support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

    This will encompass adeptly managing a range of behaviours linked to SEMH and other additional needs, such as autism or ADHD, and employing various strategies to support students.


    SEMH Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
    Provide tailored one-on-one support to students with SEMH needs, cultivating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
    Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans (BSPs).

    SEMH Teaching Assistant Requirements:
    Experience working within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU), Alternative Provision, or SEMH School.
    Experience supporting Key stage 3 and 4 students on a 1:1 or small group basis.
    Demonstrate a genuine passion for education and a resolute desire to positively impact young lives.
    Be committed to safeguarding, child protection and championing the welfare of children and young people.
