Description
Administration Assistant Band 3

Want to be part of the new NHS? Health and Care organisations in Dorset are at the forefront of transforming services to provide excellent, patient-centred care.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and organised person to join the Administrative team within Dorset Musculoskeletal Services.

This post may be part or full time.

Following an organisational change we are excited to be aligning the administration services that support several of our large Outpatient services in Dorset Healthcare, most notably Musculoskeletal and Physiotherapy services.

In order to deliver a modernised service that has patient care and communication at its heart, we need people with excellent IT skills and a desire to improve the patient experience.

You will work under the direction of the Administration Supervisor with excellent attention to detail.

The team is spread across the county so you will need to contribute to team working at the same time as using your own initiative.

You will manage patient records through different electronic patient management systems and will deal with patient queries on a daily basis.

This will require excellent customer care skills.

This is part-time post of 24 hours 4 days per week. The post holder may be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

To provide a high quality comprehensive administrative service to the Pan Dorset Musculoskeletal Service in order to assist in the achievement of service objectives.

To act as a point of contact for patients, carers and healthcare colleagues from other services across the county, for provision of information, advice within service protocols and to troubleshoot challenges with the booking process.

This will require the utilization of excellent administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.

The post holder will need to work flexibly and effectively on own initiative, as part of a team, and across organizational boundaries.

Employment in this post requires an Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.

Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
