Description
Band 7/8a (Preceptorship) (Full Time) Clinical Psychologist in the South Early Intervention Psychosis Team (Permanent) in Touchbase Pears/Oaklands in Selly Oak)

We are excited to offer a post for a Clinical Psychologist within the South Early Intervention Psychosis (EIP) team within Forward Thinking Birmingham.

This post is open to newly qualified psychologists as a Band 7/8a preceptorship, which means you will start on Band 7 and transition to 8a after 12-months depending on your development.

The post is also available as an 8a for those with relevant post-qualification experience.

The post holder will join a well-established and supportive Early Intervention Psychosis service for young people aged between 16-35 who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis and their families.

The Birmingham EIP service is comprised of four EIP teams located in different geographical areas across the city.

This post is linked with the South EIP, which is based in Touchbase Pears in Selly Oak near the University of Birmingham.

Each EIP Team supports the symptomatic, social, and personal recovery of young people with psychosis through the offer of NICE concordant care including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for psychosis (CBTp), Family Interventions for psychosis (FIp and Carer Support), and Supported Employment.

The service collaborates with Improving Recovery through Organisational Change (ImRoC) and the Recovery Foundation to train and recruit Peer Support Workers (PSW)
