    Description

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join the pharmacy team at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust.


    We are looking for an experienced pharmacist to join our enthusiastic and dynamic pharmacist team based at Birmingham Women's Hospital.

    Successful applicants will be given the opportunity to learn and develop, including postgraduate learning opportunities.


    Successful candidates will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, proactive and patient focused clinical pharmacy services in a range of specialties across the maternity, gynaecology and neonatal directorates to include neonatal intensive care.


    The Birmingham Women's Pharmacy Team sits within the BWC Pharmacy Department a busy department dealing with a wide range of specialties.

    Provide advice on pharmaceutical care to healthcare professionals and patients.

    To partake in clinical audit and service improvement projects.

    Successful completion of foundation year and exam
    Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
    Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or Pharmacist Independent Prescriber

    Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society


    Able to understand complex clinical situations and to discuss and make recommendations to resolve issues arising from them with medical, nursing and other staff.

    Previous hospital experience

    Aware of personal limitations and asks for help as required.

    Able to use a variety of computer software to organise and present information
    Awareness of requirements towards CQC.
    Demonstrates continuing professional development.
    Previous experience of delivering clinical pharmacy services to neonatal patients and staff.
    Previous experience of delivering clinical pharmacy services to a Women's directorate.
    Adaptable to change in working practices and flexible in terms of working hours on an occasional basis
