    Description

    Job Overview

    We are looking for a passionate and efficient Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) to handle essential technical tasks for the histopathology laboratory located in the Centre for Molecular Pathology, Sutton.

    • Working closely with biomedical scientists
    • Performing analyser maintenance and data entry
    • Interacting with internal and external Pathology units

    **Key Responsibilities**

    • Archiving paraffin blocks and stained slides
    • Managing specimen reception and disposal
    • Assisting in tissue preparation for diagnostic purposes
    • Understanding and utilizing Vacuum Infiltration Processors (VIP's)

    Skills and Abilities

    Essential Criteria

    • Clear communication and writing skills
    • Basic IT proficiency and accuracy
    • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations

    Desirable Criteria

    • Educational background in mathematics
    • Detail-oriented with basic decision-making skills
    • Capacity to prioritize tasks and organize work efficiently
