    Description

    Our client, a renowned UK focused architecture practice, is seeking an experienced construction professional to join their team as a Principal Designer.


    Based in their central London office, this role is ideal for an experienced senior or project architect who has led projects through all RIBA Work Stages, particularly in the delivery of large scale projects on site.

    In this position, you will be at the forefront of ensuring technical design and compliance across several projects, supported by a dynamic team of architects and management professionals.

    The practice specialises in residential, mixed-use, retrofit, and large-scale urban regeneration projects.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Lead the Building Regulation Compliance Documents (BRCD) services, ensuring alignment with the Building Safety ActnMaintain compliance trackers for building regulations across each project, overseeing design developmentnStay abreast of evolving building regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance, particularly regarding updates to fire safety guidance and compliancenCoordinate input from project team members and consultants regarding compliance matters.

    nLiaise with internal project teams to meet BRCD deadlines and protocols effectivelynIdentify areas for improvement in office systems and policies, supporting their progression


    Ideal Candidate Profile:
    Have at least 4-6 years post qualification experience either as an Architect, Architectural Technologist or relevant Construction ProfessionalnHave excellent technical and construction knowledgenPossess up to date knowledge of the Building Safety ActnDemonstrate exceptional verbal and visual communication skillsnShow passion for architectural excellence and desire to positively impact communitiesnHave the right to live and work in the UK
