- Developing client vessel concepts, obtaining Approval in Principle and ultimately, Class certification
- Authoring work specifications for the procurement of technical services and management of cradle-to-grave contract execution
- Supporting safety assessments as subject matter expert in the area of marine vessel design
- Liaison with industry stakeholders; system designers, classification societies, regulators and potential customers to manage evolving requirements
- Supporting market development efforts
- Masters Degree in Naval Architecture
- 8+ years of direct experience working in ship and/or offshore infrastructure design
- Proven leader with a track record of high profile project execution
- Ability to manage projects against evolving design requirements
- Strong understanding of hydrodynamics, marine structures and marine safety
- Good understanding of propulsion technologies and marine machinery
- Chartered Member of a relevant Professional Institution
- Comfortable with Computer Aided Design (CAD), particularly, software related to stability calculations, structural analysis, wave loading and dynamic behaviour of offshore structures
- Good understanding of risk management in design and design development methods
