£49,920pa An exciting full-time position has come up for an experienced NMC registered Deputy Manager ( Clinical Manager ) for a 63 bed care home in Southampton caring for people with complex neurodegenerative and mental health needs.
The Deputy Manager (Clinical Manager) will lead the team in ensuring the delivery of person-centred care for each of the residents, ensuring that care is assessed and planned in a way that promotes the principles of optimising quality of life and a strengths-based approach.
Provide effective leadership and management to staff which promotes high performance standards both individually and as a teamEnsure the nursing team assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual care plans involving other relevant agencies as appropriate
Take responsibility for the planning for new admissions
Be involved with the recruitment, selection and deployment of staff
Line manage all clinical staff and ensuring that the services are of a standard which meet and exceed standards set by regulatory bodies, including the CQC Standards (KLOE), NICE standards, NMC guidelines and other contractual obligations
~ NMC Registered Nurse
Demonstrate knowledge and experience of complex and high-risk cases and the ability to manage them effectively
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally, complex matters using appropriate methods to a wide spectrum of people including staff and residents
Ability to effectively lead the clinical team providing management, supervision and support as required
Mental Health Act, Health & Safety Act, Safeguarding & Adult Protection, Equal Opportunities and their implications for practice
Able to attend and participate in all statutory & mandatory training events to enhance continued professional development
