Are you an organised and efficient administrator looking for a rewarding role within a supportive and inclusive work environment? West Berkshire Council is seeking an Admin to join our Adult Social Care Service, based at Market Street Offices.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the delivery of essential services that make a real difference to the lives of our local community.


As an Admin, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Adult Social Care Service, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the processing and maintenance of records, documents, and correspondence
  • Handling enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, providing accurate and timely information
  • Coordinating meetings, taking minutes, and maintaining relevant databases
  • To undertake financial duties required by WBC including reconciling accounts, processing orders and invoices
  • Supporting the Administration Officer and wider team with ad hoc tasks as required

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable manner
