    About the Company and Position:

    We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join a renowned National Security SME in London. The company supports various sectors including Central Government, Defence, and Law Enforcement by providing top-notch Software, Digital, and Data products. This role requires holding an enhanced DV Security Clearance due to the nature of the work and clients.

    Responsibilities of the Principal Software Engineer:

    As a Principal Software Engineer, you will serve as a Lead Technologist collaborating closely with engineering and product teams to lead design and development. Your main tasks will involve designing and delivering scalable software solutions both on-premise and in the cloud. Additionally, you will actively participate in product design, engage with key clients to gather requirements, and contribute to the product and technology roadmap.

    Requirements for the Principal Software Engineer:

    • Current DV clearance (Enhanced)
    • Extensive experience in software design and development
    • Strong technical leadership abilities
    • Proficiency in designing distributed data-intensive systems
    • Prior work experience in the National Security sector
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in JavaScript or Python
    • Experience deploying software in cloud and on-premise environments
    • Background in building software products
    • Familiarity with technologies such as EKS, Kubernetes, OpenSearch/ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Spark, or NiFi
    • Knowledge of microservices architectures and AI/ML systems
