    Description
    Commercial Manager
    Global Commissioning Limited is a privately owned consultancy, with our Head Office based in Whitstable, Kent.

    Specialising in the data centre industry, we offer commissioning management and validation services to project developers and operators, ensuring they receive a full operational and design compliant building at handover.


    Job Type:
    Full -time
    Based at our Head Office in Whitstable with some travel to Europe


    Travel Requirement:
    This role involves regular travel across the EU, either on a 5 days on / 2 days off rotation or a 10 days on/ 4 days off rotation, depending on client requirements
    The Company will arrange and cover all costs associated with the visa application process

    The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of our projects and will be responsible for managing and optimising all aspects of the commercial process, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.

    The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial management, excellent negotiation skills, and deep understanding of the industry.

    Contract Management
    Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
    Manage contract variations and amendments to meet changing project needs

    Financial Analysis
    Conduct thorough financial analysis to support decision making and pricing strategies
    Monitor project budgets and financial performance, providing regular reports to stakeholders
    Lead the commercial aspects of the bid process, from initial tendering to contract award
    Work closely with Senior Leadership to develop competitive bids
    Risk Management
    Identify and assess commercial risks associated with projects and develop mitigation plans
    Collaborate with project teams to implement risk management strategies effectively

    This is not an exhaustive list, and the post-holder might be expected to undertake any other duties across the wider organisation, commensurate with level of responsibility of this post, for which the post holder has the necessary experience and/or training.

    Educated to degree level or relevant experience/qualification within a commercial role
    A high degree of financial, commercial and customer awareness
    Previous experience of working within a similar Commercial role
    Experience of assisting with the development and management of commercial processes and procedures
    Computer literate including advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office
