- Prepare and operate milling machines (HAAS)
- Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
- Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
- Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
- Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate parts
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
- Previous experience of Visi software - desirable
- Sodick Wire eroder experience - desirable
- Proven experience as CNC Setter/Operator Milling (within automotive industry preferable)
- Skill in operating CNC machinery (HAAS preferably) and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
- Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
- A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
- Problem solving and tool improvement
- Must be able to work on own initiative
- Be organised and have the ability to prioritise and multi-task
- Be able to communicate effectively to own team and other departments
- Proven efficiency with working practices

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled CNC Setter/Operator (Milling), looking to work for a well-established automotive manufacturing company, which prides itself on supporting its engineers and encourages strong team work.

The role of CNC Setter/Operator requires you to produce machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine (HAAS), maintain quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies.
