    Description
    Apprentice Public Health Engineer
    At HDR, we specialize in engineering, architecture, environmental and construction services.

    As a Public Health Apprentice, you will be part of an organisation that is 100-percent employee owned, that supports and creates many opportunities for you to advance, succeed and fulfil your career aspirations.

    In the role of Public Health Apprentice, we'll count on you to:
    Assist Senior Engineers with detailed design tasks and drawing production.
    Develop an understanding of the different building materials and techniques employed in design.
    Carry out detailed design calculations and develop a full understanding of computer design packages.
    Maintain a Continuing Professional Development diary to assist in obtaining appropriate qualifications
    Develop an understanding of appropriate Legislation Standards, Building Regulations and Codes of Practice
    Maintain a training Log on a daily basis, recording achievements and experience
    Attend relevant training as required by the practice.
    Assist in maintaining QA systems on projects.
    Able to qualify for the government apprenticeship criteria.
    Competency in MS Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint are desired.
    A commitment to a career in Public Health Design Engineering.
    Ability to project a positive, welcoming and professional attitude at all times.
