A place where you can relax, work or play whatever your mood, for as long as you are in town - be it a day, a week, a month, or a year.

    Role: Commis Chef

    Remuneration Package: 13.45 PER HR (INCLUSIVE OF TRONC

    Working Hours: UP TO 40 hours per week, based on a 5 days out of 7 schedule.

    The Other House are looking for a dynamic and energetic Commis Chef who has a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences. This individual needs to have a strong background, working in a commercial kitchen with a focus on creating memorable moments through food. We are looking for an individual who effectively will deliver entrepreneurial dining experiences with a strong focus on sustainability and cutting-edge technology. For us, there is 'inside the box', there is 'outside the box' and then there is our Other House Mates - passionate, self-driven and completely comfortable with pushing the boundaries.

  • Previous experience in a kitchen role (essential)
  • Flair for intuitive service
  • Passion for people and a desire to develop within your role and grow with the company
  • Self-driven attitude and previous experience, working unsupervised
  • Sustainable and creative mindset when it comes to cooking and food handling
  • Good command of English - both verbally and written
  • A clean, smart and professional appearance
  • A positive, engaging personality
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong task and time management abilities
