The Paediatric Complex Care team is expanding due to an increase in referrals for children requiring their services. This team provides support to children and their families in NHS Highland, both at home and within the broader community.
This position is highly fulfilling as it involves assisting the Complex Care Team in caring for these children and families, facilitating access to education, and providing parents with peace of mind knowing their child is receiving high-quality care. The successful candidate will join a team that offers nursing support and educational guidance to families and staff members. They will also oversee the service, assist the band 7 in service development, and manage day-to-day operations. Additionally, they may accompany children and families to various appointments, outings, and activities during their shifts, while also providing training to the care team and families.
Post-registration experience is a requirement, and experience in community care or hospice care is advantageous.
The post holder will receive support from the team leader and training on the competency framework. They will also be involved in implementing guidelines and protocols.
Although this is a position within NHSH, the post holder will be based in Inverness with minimal travel expectations.
Possessing and using a car is essential for this role.
