Description

The PMHT 4 Youth team will provide assessments and short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people in Wokingham with mild to moderate mental health needs.

Clinicians working for the PMHT 4 Youth service will promote the emotional wellbeing and mental health of young people in the community.

They will offer advice, information and support to young people and families, and consultation and training to professionals, as appropriate.

Outreach support to promote engagement, where needed, will be provided and the team will work closely and proactively with partner agencies, including the Mental Health Support Teams, Early Help, Youth Offending Teams and CAMHS.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of and contribute to a newly developed and innovative service. This is an important post, at the interface with partner agencies and specialist CAMHS.

The post has been informed and agreed in partnership with Wokingham Borough Council Children's Services, who remain key partners in the development of the Primary Mental Health Team and the development of wider emotional health and wellbeing services for young people.

The PMHT 4 Youth Team sits alongside the newly established Mental Health Support Team in Schools, in Wokingham.

Operational management and clinical supervision will be provided within Berkshire Healthcare, but the work will be completed within Wokingham Borough Council and the wider community.

**Interview Date will be 19th January 2023
