    Post: Clinical Fellow ST1/2 12 or 24 months, this post is 100% ED rota.

    You will be joining a forward thinking and dynamic trust. This post is based in Weston-super-Mare at Weston General Hospital which is just 20 miles from Bristol city centre.

    We do reserve the right to close the vacancy earlier to the closing date if sufficient amount of applications are acheived

    Job responsibilities

    The main posts include 80% time working in the emergency department and 20% paid time to develop in a specialist interest of the successful candidates choice. The full time post is based solely in the Emergency Department and would be perfect for someone wishing to gain more experience prior to applying for higher EM training support and advice is available for this.

    Essential

  • Able to assess, resuscitate and stabilised acutely sick patients
  • Able to participate as key member of cardiac arrest team
  • Demonstrates good clinical judgement
  • Desirable

  • Completed specialist skills courses ( ATLS/APLS, ultrasound course, etc.)
  • Understands audit and governance processes
  • Designed and / or completed audits

  • Registered with General Medical Council (UK)
  • At least 24 months full-time hospital service as a trainee in the Foundation (or higher) grade. No unexplained career gaps
  • Previous experience of working in the British Healthcare system (not observing) -
  • Specialist Interest intent and evidence of interest
  • Desirable

  • Advanced Life Support provider
  • Other membership, fellowship or diplomas
  • Intermediate EM/ MRCP/MRCS (Part 1) or equivalent
  • Other
