- You will be able to take part in all aspects of the research production – from idea generation, data analysis, report writing, and then promoting to clients.
- You will have responsibility for the team's views on rates, local currency bond, and FX markets of the countries under your coverage. You will develop investment ideas, trade recommendations and promote these to internal and external clients.
- As a strategist, you can expect to learn from and work with senior members of the team on specific projects, collaborate with a variety of different teams within the research department, and also work independently.
- You have a strong academic background with a degree in a business-related field, or equivalent.
- Demonstrable expertise in global macro and Emerging Markets is a critical pre-requisite for the role, including in both macroeconomics and financial market issues.
- Expert knowledge of fixed-income markets is essential.
- Proven background in research production.
- Statistical and quantitative skills with a background in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of various coding languages packages would be desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player and interact effectively with other research teams across the firm.
- High self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate competence with numerical concepts and tools.

Morgan Stanley Investment Research is one of the financial industry's dominant thought leaders in equity and fixed-income investing.
