- Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand scope and requirements.
- Quantify materials, labour, and equipment needed for each project based on established pricing guidelines and industry standards.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material take-offs, labour costs, subcontractor bids, and overhead expenses.
- Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to obtain competitive pricing and accurate project data.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective solutions and timely delivery of materials and services.
- Evaluate project risks and opportunities to provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and value engineering options.
- Participate in bid meetings, negotiations, and client presentations as needed.
- Monitor project budgets and assist in cost tracking and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to inform estimating practices and strategies.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the interior fit-out or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of partition systems, materials, and construction methods.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Advanced knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
