- Create accurate cost budgets for proposals, based on supplier quotes obtained and documented in corporation with supply chain.
- By listening to our customers, contribute to continue development and improvement of our products together with R&D and Engineering.
- Identify new customers and maintain good working relation to existing customers.
- Track and update projects in CRM
- Approx travel days a year.
- You have a relevant degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Minimum three years of experience from a similar position managing proposals from sales to signing of contract.
- Experience working with technical specifications and quotes.
- Highly motivated with a consistent ability to prioritize work to achieve our deadlines.
- Service-minded and good at understanding and identifying customer needs.
- Persistent and able to work independently.
- As we are a global team your technical English skills must be above average both written and spoken. German language skills is considered as an advantage.

At Howden we are currently looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team within Engineered projects with special focus on mining industry.
As a leading provider of air and gas handling equipment to critical process industries and with over a century of experience in doing so, Howden has always had a focus on high performance where reliability and safety matters.
With our products we are supplying our special engineered equipment for applications within: Power Generation; Carbon Capture and Storage; Mining ventilation; and underground transport systems
Within the area of underground transport systems this remains a key driver as the provision of air through ventilation systems is critical to providing a safe environment for both travellers and transport workers.
Our new colleague plays an important role
As a Sales Engineer you will have the responsibility of providing technical fan selection within our range of engineered Axial and Centrifugal fans and executing proposal projects from proposal start till signing of contract. Our proposal project phase can take from weeks to months and involves interaction with customers and colleagues around the globe.
