For this position the role will have a focus on bank and balance sheet reconciliations, requiring a high degree of accuracy and a good degree of numerical ability.
Within this role, duties include posting daily bank transactions to the accounting system, processing daily cash and card takings and assisting with the sales ledger and purchase ledger to help ensure the smooth running of the team.
This is a successful and busy motor retail business and you will be an important part of the accounting team and expected to bring enthusiasm and a good work ethic to the office.
You will be proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel and have prior experience working with accounting systems in an accounting environment.
Experience in the motor industry and working with the Kerridge DMS would be an advantage but is not essential as on-site training will be given.
Providing support to the retail centre accountant in all areas as directed.Ensuring the maintenance and accuracy of accounting records and systems.
Producing detailed, accurate and timely balance sheet and ledger reconciliations.
Credit ControlAllocating PaymentsSending StatementsChasing PaymentsProviding Weekly reports on customer account statusPurchase LedgerPlacing purchase orders for the sales teamMatching Delivery notes to invoicesChecking for any invoice discrepanciesProcess Invoices onto sageCheck supplier statementsGenerate monthly payment listChase credits for any returnsKnowledge of Nominal CodesWe offer excellent working facilities with a competitive salary, together with a host of other employee benefits including:
