- Carry out complex tasks which include disassemble, repair, and assembly of aircraft nacelle components.
- The ability to read and interpret technical data (specified manuals, service bulletins/ airworthiness directives, and engineering drawings or instructions)
- Compliance to required quality, safety and EHS regulations
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Time served in a relevant discipline (with trade papers or an equivalent mechanical qualification)
- Good hands skills through experience working in a mechanical or engineering discipline.
- Taking ownership and accountability to work independently, as part of a team, and communicate priorities as required.
- Excellent communication skills
- Candidates will be required to demonstrate numerical, literacy and computer literacy skills.
- Compliance with all Collins Aerospace policies and procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property, and ITC requirements
- Previous experience in aviation maintenance repair and overhaul environment would be highly beneficial but not essential.
- Experience of aircraft composite structures and repairs would be highly beneficial.
- Experience of fastener removal and installation would be highly beneficial
- Experience of engine build up including the use of calibrated measurement equipment, and torquing applications would be highly beneficial
- SAP experience (or similar operating systems) would be advantageous although not essential
- An understanding of the principles of Lean/Continuous Improvement would be advantageous.
