    The Godolphin and Latymer School is one of the country's leading independent day schools for girls, located on a six acre site in Hammersmith, London.

    Mathematics is a popular subject at the school and in the Sixth Form.

    In Year 7 girls are taught in their forms but from Years 8 to 11 they are taught in bands.

    All girls are entered for the Edexcel International GCSE (IGCSE) and around 40% of these also take the AQA Level 2 Certificate in Further Mathematics in Year 11.

    At A Level, the majority of girls study Mathematics and many also choose to study Further Mathematics.

    Those studying the IB all take one of three Mathematics courses, with around one third choosing to do so at Higher Level.

    The successful candidate will be required to teach across the school, up to A Level/IB Mathematics.

    They will need to work well as a member of a team and have a willing approach to sharing and developing their teaching practice.

    The ability to teach Further Mathematics / IB Higher Level is preferred.

    All members of the department are required to contribute to the Mathematics enrichment programme, which includes problem solving clubs, individual and team competitions, staffing twice-weekly support sessions and preparing candidates for university applications, including as outreach for a number in maintained schools.

    Staff are also expected to contribute to the wider extra-curricular programme on offer at the School.
    The salary will be commensurate with the post and will depend upon qualifications and experience.
